    1,Use a 7 mm socket to remove the four screws that hold the black cover underneath the glovebox and you'll see the resistor and mounting holes.
    How to test if you have a faulty resistor?
    2,Unplug the two harness connections
    3,
    Use a 5.5mm socket to
    remove two screws(if you have single ear version) or four screws(if you have a double ear version)
    4,There is one small resistor on the top and set of 2 soldered horizontally on the bottom of the unit,
    5,Use a multimeter to test continuity through the top resistor, bottom resistors
    6, If top resistor is burnt out, you're missing fan speed settings 1,2,3 and 4
    if bottom two resistors are burnt out, you're missing fan speed setting 5
    7, Replace with new resistor unit
    8, Test before you put everything back.
