Art Deco High Relief Beautiful Shell Cameo Estate Piece. If you have been watching our listings you know we took a break for a couple weeks but our backed one packing all the jewelry boxes full of very fine vintage and antique jewelry from our family storage estate.
This is another lovely piece and is a fine shell cameo, high relief and has The telltale nose to give you an idea of age. The details are exquisite and the setting in my opinion looks like the scroll work frame was added to an existing Cameo or I could be wrong. The filigree design doesn't appear to be gold but the flowers on either side look like it as well as the case that holds the actual cameo. It's very hard to test because I don't want to damage the Cameo but the color, patina, and everything else tells me it's gold. Having said that, we're going to list this as a decorative piece of fine  jewelry and let you all decide it's worth. I don't see any maker's mark anywhere. It will be carefully packed and shipped and stay tuned for many other cameos that we will be listing. Happy bidding!
