Description
Offered here is a fine early 1900s vintage hand-carved shell cameo, set in a pretty, solid 10K rose gold frame with bows of gold decorating the top, bottom and sides of the border which encircles the bezel.
This is a good-sized cameo, measuring 1 3/4" top to bottom.  The subject is a young lady looking demurely downward--the bodice is plain, but there is especially fine detail carved within the hair--and she has lovely, slightly Romanesque facial features.
This cameo can be worn as a brooch-pin or as a pendant, as I've shown on the neck stand.  The hidden bail swivels, and folds down, when the cameo is worn as a brooch.  I've shown it with a chain on the neck stand in the photos.  CHAIN IN PHOTOS IS FOR DISPLAY ONLY AND NOT INCLUDED WITH THE CAMEO.
This cameo has a locking C clasp on which the 10K mark is visible.
This cameo measures 1 3/4" by 1 3/8".  It weighs a hefty 10.2 grams, and is in excellent vintage condition.
